The making of The Jaguar and the River was a deeply collaborative and immersive process. Guided by an all-female crew, the production team worked closely with Xiwariru and her family. This intimate approach allowed for an authentic and heartfelt portrayal of her life and journey.

 

Filming spanned from the serene landscapes of Canoanã to the vibrant and politically charged atmosphere of the 20th ATL in Brasília, capturing the essence of both the personal and collective stories that shape the film.
